HoldMyTee

Gift Guides

A gift guide is a short, curated list built around a person or an occasion. Instead of the full catalog, each guide picks a handful of designs that fit one recipient: the guinea pig owner, the anime fan, the coworker who lives in band shirts.

Every pick is an original print-on-demand design published through Amazon Merch on Demand and fulfilled by Amazon. Each guide links straight to its Amazon listing, where sizes, colors, and checkout are handled by Amazon. There are no prices here on purpose: stock and pricing live on Amazon and change there.

How a gift guide gets built on HoldMyTee

Each gift guide starts from one specific recipient — the guinea pig keeper, the otaku friend, the dad whose hobby is the whole personality — and works backwards from there. The picks aren't a random shortlist from the matching topic; they're chosen for fit with the persona the guide is built around. A "Funny Guinea Pig Shirts" guide and a "Guinea Pig Christmas Gifts" guide draw from the same hub but cut the catalog differently.

Curation is hand-done — one designer (Tobias) reviewing the niche-fit of each pick, the joke or identity-statement, and how it reads visually next to the others in the guide. Designs that duplicate an angle already in the guide get cut. Designs that need knowledge the buyer might not have get a short editorial blurb explaining the wink.

Occasion-aware guides (Christmas, Valentine's, Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthday, Halloween) prefer the niche's strongest-selling designs of the last 30 days as starting picks — the assumption is that what other niche-buyers chose recently is also what works as a gift. The list is then refined editorially for fit with the occasion.

Gift Guides FAQ

Are these tees actually in stock?
Every pick links to its current Amazon listing — Amazon shows real-time stock and size availability there. Designs that go out of stock or get discontinued drop out of the guides on the next site rebuild (daily). If you ever land on a guide whose pick is unavailable on Amazon, the listing itself will say so.
Why no prices in the guides?
Prices live on Amazon and change there. Showing a price here would mean syncing a second source of truth that would inevitably drift and mislead. Each guide focuses on what doesn't change: the design, the niche it's for, and why it's the right pick.
How are gift guides different from topic pages?
A topic page lists every design in a niche, flat grid. A gift guide is a hand-curated shortlist — typically 8 to 15 picks — built around a person or an occasion. Use the topic page when you want range, use the gift guide when you want a recommendation.
Who picks the designs in each guide?
One designer (Tobias) curates everything by hand. The selection criteria: niche-literal accuracy, audience-fit, and visual craft. Designs that miss the bar get cut before they land in a guide.
What about delivery deadlines for occasions?
Each occasion page (Christmas, Valentine's, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween) has a live delivery-deadline banner that updates as the event approaches — going from 'order soon' to 'last chance' to 'cutting it close'. Use those pages when shopping for a specific date.
